About Me

Abdur Rasool is a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Hawaii, U.S.A. He received a PhD in Computer Applied Technology (in Jan. 2024) from Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIAT-CAS), Shenzhen, China. He has gained research experience at the following institutions:

• Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen, China, under the supervision of Prof. Yanqing Hu and Dr. Linyi Yang.
• University of Hawaii, USA, (1 year) under the supervision of Prof. Peter Yiğitcan Washington and Dr. John A. Shepherd, Principal Investigator, and in collaboration with Dennis Wall, Principal Investigator at Stanford.
• SIAT-CAS, Shenzhen, China, (3.5 years) with Prof. Qingshan Jiang and Prof. Qiang Qu, and in collaboration with Prof. Junbiao Dai.
• Donghua University, Shanghai (1.5 years) under the supervision of Dr. Tao Ran.

He has authored over 40 publications in international journals and academic conferences in the data sciences domain, particularly in bioinformatics, DNA data storage, NLP/LLMs, and information security. He was an excellent international student and an outstanding graduate of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), and a winner of several research contests.
